RECENT VINTAGES OF BURGUNDY 1996, 1997, 1998, 1999, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2003 1996 Large at exceptional year thanks to perfect climatic conditions. 1996 is it great year awaited since 1990 ? Certainly. The wines have a beautiful constant dress. Their nose is concentrated and very fruity. In mouth, they are well structured with very fine tannins. Their fruit and their balance make already them very harmonious. To have patience still a little will make only increase our pleasure. 1997 These are wines with a complexity of aromas and a positive and concentrated structure. Although they are already eminently drinkable they do nevertheless have a good potential for aging further 1998 Very good year, the natural sugar content was high for the vine growers who had patience to gather the grapes. The color ruby is beautiful, the fruit flavours black and red still discrete, the tannins are still quite present, it should be awaited a few years. 1999 Quality varies from one estate to another depending on the effort needed to separate the grapes from their stalks when harvesting. Those estates which have harvested a reasonable quantity of grapes produced wines with darker colours, intense aromas and supple and balanced tannins. 2000 An exceptional year for its colour and structure, for the beauty of its fruit, for its complexity, suppleness and harmony. Waiting for it to mature will be a tantalising temptation rewarded by great pleasure 2001 Less structured and powerful than the 2000, the 2001 vintage will be all elegance, complex flavours with silky tannins in beautiful harmony 2002 Very near to 2000 by its dark color and its fruity intense, its structure is powerful and harmonious. Pleasure assured in three to four years, of long guard 2003 Because of the small harvest, beautiful maturity, the color is sunk and the very concentrated flavours. The natural alcoholic strength and the tanins quite present promise a beautiful harmony. It will be certainly a wine of long guard which it will be necessary to know to wait. 2004 Very good year (output 38 hl/ha). For those which knew to react in time with the mildew and the oidium, which controlled the outputs, which waited to gather the grapes, the result is excellent. Beautiful color, fruity intense, silky tannins and good structure. A good year of guard. 2005 Superb year (output 39 hl/ha). It profited from very favourable climatic conditions. The maturity of the grape was perfect like its medical state. Harvest was modest in Domain (39 hl/ha). The wines are very coloured, fruity, complexes, are structured and harmonious, very promising.
